Senior Sales Representative

OpenLink Software is seeking Independent Sales Representatives to join its business development network. Responsibilities include selling the OpenLink product portfolio that includes; OpenLink Universal Data Access Drivers, Open Virtuoso, and associated Professional Services.

Remuneration Terms:

This is a "Commission Only" (no base salary) opportunity. The sales commissions are aggressive and without top level caps, thereby offering you the flexibility to control your own success.
This position has a high degree of autonomy, and you will be responsible for generating leads, identifying business opportunity, closing business and managing and growing accounts.

Requirements:

At least 2 years experience sales within the technology market specifically in middleware, database related or business integration software sales. You will need the ability to generate and qualify your own leads and or an existing client base.

  • The ideal candidate must be self-driven with an entrepreneurial edge, and have experience working on both small and large accounts.
  • Candidates must possess a confident personality suitable for handling cold calls and account management. Excellent presentation, organization, verbal and written communication are mandatory.
  • Candidates are expected to be able to converse fluently at all contact levels within an organization (from Junior to C-Level).

Training:

OpenLink will be providing training in the following areas to suitable candidates: data integration & data access middleware, database engines, web and internet technology.

Technical Support Consultant

Description:

You will be responsible for providing high quality web-based, telephone and email technical support to Customers, Partners and Evaluators using OpenLink's Products.

Responsibilities include assisting customers resolve installation and configuration issues. Trouble shooting and re-creating pre and post installation problems. Internal testing of OpenLink products in multiple operating system, DBMS, application and development environments.

Experience:

  • Experience working in a customer focused technical support environment.

Description:

OpenLink is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead a young and energetic sales force and continue our rapid revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales record of generating revenues from fortune 500 organizations. You will need strong technical and commercial knowledge of Internet/Web, Databases and Distributed computing technologies.

Responsibilities will include managing, mentoring and recruiting a sales team, new and existing business development.

This is an extremely hands on role requiring a self-starter. You will be expected to be fully involved in the management and day to day activities of the sales department. You will work closely with technical support to ensure full customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidate should have full-life cycle sales experience. You will be responsible for sales activities, sales training/mentoring and pipeline management with predictable revenue forecasts.

Experience:

You will need at least 3 years sales management experience and at least 5 years software selling experience, preferably with database and/or data access middleware products.

Must have some hands on experience of DBMS systems and operating environments including Linux, Unix and Windows. Increasing revenue via our Alliance Channel requires that the individual be an evangelist of our products and is able to speak fluently on both a business and technical level about OpenLink technology and industry subjects in general.

Experience:

BS Degree in Business Marketing or Management required, 3+ years of industry experience in marketing and or selling technical software products. 3+ years of channel marketing experience. Minimum of 3 years high-tech experience including distributed computing, database technologies or data access middleware components. Candidates should possess a very solid technical background.

Direct experience working with the reseller channel in the software industry. Strong communication skills (writing, verbal and presentation). Must posses project management skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to grasp concepts and technology rapidly. Highly self motivated, organized and professional.

Ability to aggressively seek and build solid partner relationships of various types. You will be experienced in communicating and negotiating with a wide variety of people ranging from Programmers, IT directors and CEO's.
