Yes, your license provides access to OPAL services on both instances. The ods-qa instance (version 1.0) is ideal for development and testing, while the URIBurner instance (Linux-based, version 1.0) is optimized for production use with linked data. You can use the same NetID and license across both platforms with identical API endpoints and MCP server functionality.
License validation uses SPARQL queries against the purchase database to verify that your NetID has an active, non-expired license for the requested service tier. The system checks purchase date, license duration, and current date to ensure compliance in real-time. All licenses are annual with automatic expiry and are integrated with the Virtuoso product family for seamless access control.
The Data Twingler module provides system-wide API key access specifically for the "data-twingler-config" provider. This allows you to use OPAL's built-in API keys for Data Twingler functionality without needing to provide your own keys. For any other modules or providers, you'll still need to use your own API keys. This tier is perfect if you primarily work with data transformation and twinning tasks.
Support includes comprehensive documentation at opal.openlinksw.com/install/, terms of service at opal.openlinksw.com/tos/, and technical support through OpenLink Software's standard support channels.
